Technical review
We begin with the equipment, operating requirement or fault and collect the information needed to understand the work.
JPC Services
Fault-finding, planned preventive maintenance and safety-focused upgrades for industrial and commercial goods lifts.
JPC supports goods lifts through structured inspection, electrical and control-system diagnosis, repair, servicing and modernisation. Work is planned around the lift's design, manufacturer instructions, operating environment and applicable safety requirements.
How JPC works
We begin with the equipment, operating requirement or fault and collect the information needed to understand the work.
Suitable repair, upgrade or installation options are explained so the scope can be agreed before implementation.
Parts, software, panel work and site installation are coordinated around the agreed technical solution.
The completed work is checked, commissioned where applicable and handed over with clear operating information.
Preventive maintenance priorities
A goods lift can continue moving even while wear, leakage, unreliable sensors or unauthorised alterations are developing. Planned maintenance gives these issues a chance to be identified and corrected before they cause a breakdown or expose people and property to unnecessary risk.
Functional checks of landing-door sensors, locks and interlocks so movement is prevented when a door is not safely closed and locked.
Inspection for visible wear, corrosion, broken strands, poor anchorage or abnormal tension in suspension cables, wire ropes or chains, as applicable.
Checks of oil level and condition, hoses, fittings, cylinders, seals, valves and the power unit for leakage, contamination or deterioration.
Testing of limit switches, emergency stops, contactors, relays, sensors, motor protection, alarms and control-panel functions.
Malta workplace requirement
The Occupational Health and Safety Authority states that the owner or occupier of a workplace with a goods lift must submit an Examination Report prepared by a competent person—a warranted Mechanical or Electrical Engineer—once every six months. The report must be submitted to OHSA within 28 days of the examination.
Routine servicing does not replace that statutory examination. JPC can maintain, diagnose, repair and upgrade the equipment, and can carry out corrective work identified during an examination. The exact legal and technical requirements depend on the lift's design, classification, age, use and any previous modifications.
